Family Picture

OK, here is our "professional" family picture, I hope no one changes in the next couple of years because these boys HATE getting their picture taken.

Christmas card picture

I have never minded having my picture taken, in fact I've always been a little bit of a ham. But getting my boys to take a picture is not a fun experience. They hate posing, dressing alike and doing a "normal" expression. Wes (Clayton's brother) spent the night a week ago and I got him to take a couple of pictures of us. Not that he wanted to either. It turned out OK but I finally ordered prints of the professional pictures we had taken because it is going to take a couple of years before I can get these boys to do it again.

Cristmas Party

My Grandma Robbins always has a Christmas party the Saturday after Thanksgiving. It's always fun to get a present early! I haven't been able to go the last couple of years because I have this stinking Saturday job. This year the kids did the nativity. My boys were shepards.

Thanksgiving

This year we went to my parents house for Thanksgiving. Everyone was there all my sisters and their families, my brother and mom and dad. I love when we can all get together. This is the kids table. After dinner the moms did a little craft.
And there was a little Rock Band fun. I am a really good singer.

Family Pictures

The place that took our pictures made a little video and posted it on their blog. Check out some of our pictures at http://dsportraits.blogspot.com/2008/11/miller-family.html Does any one know if I can copy it to my blog?

Batman

On Friday we had family pictures taken. (Finally! we don't have one with Koda) after pictures we went to see Batman at the dollar theater. Clayton really didn't want me to take a picture so he is pretending he doesn't know me, but everyone knows he is with me because we are all dressed alike!

Reflections

Thursday night was the award ceremony for Reflections. Bodie won a medal for his honorable mention in 3-D art. Good job Bodie. He thought the medal was great. He got a trophy last year so he was glad to get something different.

Twilight

I got to see Twilight Wednesday night. (no one else got to see it until Friday) My cousin manages the movie theater in Spanish Fork and he did a little screening for us. I like it but I like everything so I've never been a good critic. We had a little treat at Village Inn before the movie
Mckell (my cousin) was afraid of getting in trouble so he didn't turn on any lights it was really dark. This is my sister Carrie, we're just waiting for the movie to start.

Here is some of the group we were with. Sisters, brother, cousins and friends. It was a fun time.

Dinner with Russell

Last night Clayton's brother Russell, his wife Christal and baby Isabella came down from Ogden for dinner. Isabella is only 3 months and weighs 15lbs! I guess she is a good eater. Koda is such a big boy holding the baby.
I guess she doesn't like Trevor that much.

Spatman

For Halloween we went trick or treating down main street. They had a costume contest. I put Koda's Spiderman costume on because Batman was in the wash he wanted to wear the Batman mask anyway so I let him. "Spatman" won for best costume in his age group he was pretty excited to have a trophy.

Bodie lost his first tooth

Bodie lost his first tooth the other day. It has been loose for a while he came and asked me to try tying dental floss to it and slamming the door. I tied the floss on and just yanked it out. It was fast and easy and not dramatic at all. I like when those kind of thing go smooth. He put it under his pillow but the tooth fairy forgot to come. When he woke up he said he must of stayed up too late and the tooth fairy came before he went to bed. Luckily he was asleep when she came the next night.

Reflections

This years theme for reflections was WOW. My boys entered 3 categories I thought I would share their work.
At the Christmas bingo party we won some paper mold stuff, I made some salt dough and they made a sculpture then molded the paper mold around it. Here's what it turned out like... (it's kind of hard to tell but they are 3-D)
Bodie made a tree Trevor did the word WOW

Bodie painted this "The road to wows"

Trevor drew a mouse and a shark

They also wrote a little something...

This is Bodie's

I say wow when…

· I’m going really fast on my scooter down the hill then flip over.
· I ride my bike with one hand,
· I do a flip with no hands on the trampoline.
· I beat my dad at wrestling.
· I float on my back with no life jacket in the swimming pool.
· I jump down the stairs without falling.

Doing things that make me say wow is fun.
This is Trevor's
Super heroes make me say wow when…

· Ghost Rider catches on fire.
· Iron Man destroys things with his hands.
· The Thing takes a bite out of a fork.
· Spiderman swings from webs.
· Batman glides.
· Bruce Banner changes to the Hulk.
· Bumblebee is on a tow truck and firing.

I would say wow if I were a super hero.
They only enter because they want trophies. I hope they do OK.

Party at Grandma's

My mom makes dinner and has a Halloween party every year. Last night we celebrated Grandma Robbins 86 birthday too. Here are all of the cousins and Kevin. I was a scary witch.

I took these at our house before we left.

Trevor is a Punk Zombie

We had fun thanks Grandma. (Clayton is STILL in Little Rock, AK)

Batman

On Wednesdays my mom, sisters, Kevin and I try to go to lunch. Today at lunch Grandma painted a bat on Koda's cheek (because he is obsessed with super heros and batman is at the top of his list) we didn't have a mirror to show him so I took a picture. It was even better than a mirror he has looked at the picture several times today, the bat came off durring his nap.

Trevor got his wolf badge

Tonight Trevor got his wolf badge at pack meeting. I'm new to all of this scout stuff, but I am proud of Trevor for being motivated and working hard.
Trevor wanted me to make the paw look like there were scratches, I did my best with a Q tip.
Trevor drew the "milk the cow cheer". He is "milking" my thumbs.
The boys are sapposed to pin the parent pin on the parent, I did alot of helping.

Way to go Trev!

Deegan's Birthday Party

My nephew Deegan had a birthday party at Classic on monday here are some pictures of the boys.

Koda is a super hero. He doesn't have a secret identity, he doesn't care who knows.

We love Uncle Kevin!
Trevor
Bodie
Amy made hamburger cup cakes! What a nice mom!

Corn Belly's

We went to Corn Belly's today at Thanksgiving Point. I was fun. All of the Clarke cousins were there Grandma, Amy and Melanie came too.
The Creature
Princess Koda

I want this little house for my back yard but I bet we couldn't keep it pink

Koda fixed the scanner

As most two year olds, Koda likes to be where I am. A few days ago I was sitting at the desk in front of the computer with Koda on my lap. I, of course, was into what ever I was doing and wasn't paying attention when he opened the front of the printer and pulled out whatever would come out. He "fixed" it, what a good helper!
Any way the boys brought their school pictures home yesterday and I wanted to scan them so you could all see but my printer/scanner doesn't do anything. So, sorry no pictures today.

Does anyone have a scanner I can use?

10 Years!

This year Clayton and I will be married 10 years! I have meaning to do my first post for a long time but now I have a good reason.

In 1997 at the end of both of our missions in Arizona Clayton was transferred to Mesa and I got a new district leader. We had never met before, but I thought he was a nice guy. He baptised a guy we taught for a singles ward we were serving in. Here is a picture of Clayton and Jose. (Sorry Clayton, remember that jumpsuit was a little snug?)
So Clayton went home after just a month of being my district leader. And we wrote each other for one month until I got home. We were just friends but started hanging out when I got home. We did fun things burn our socks when there was a full moon for good luck. (I guess it worked!)

Here we are fishing (We haven't fished again)
Clayton was working nights at UPS and I would sometimes bring him dinner so we could see each other. I brought him dinner one night and was late so I was trying to get him to hurry and eat. He started to chock on his drink then said "Look what was in my drink" he held out his hand and there was my ring! and he said to me "will you be my wife" I was so surprised! But I said yes.

Now it has been 10 years. It hasn't always been easy but I really love my husband and am glad he gave me my 3 little boys. Thanks Clayton, happy anniversary.
